VIEWING ICE FOR SALE

This view provide a listing of ice times that people want to SELL to other teams. To view ice that is for sale, click on the "Ice For Sale" button in the horizontal navigation bar.

VIEWING ICE FOR TRADE

This view provide a listing of ice times that people want to trade/exchange withother teams.  A team may want to swap ice times instead of having to sell and re-buy new ice timeslot.  To view ice that is for trade, click on the "Ice For Trade" button in the horizontal navigation bar.

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

In order for you to post your ice for sale or trade, you must create an account on the site.  Your account information consists of:

  • USERNAME - enter your preferred username, best to use the format "firstnamelastname".  For example, "johnsmith".
  • EMAIL ADDRESS - your email address.  If you forget your password, it will be emailed to this address.  This email address is not made public.
  • PASSWORD - enter the password you'll use to login.
  • ASSOCIATION - Select your minor hockey association/organization.
  • TEAM - enter your team division and number or name. For example Peewee A1.

Your account is created immediately.  You'll then be able to add, modify and delete your own ice postings.

DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

Please send your request using the "Contact Us" button in the horizontal navigation bar.

ADDING ICE FOR SALE / TRADE

To add an ice posting for sale or trade, do the following:

  • log into the website using your username and password.  If you do not have an account, you must set one up.
  • click "Add Ice For Sale/Trade" in the right side navigation column.
  • For each of the fields enter the following information:
    • Your Name - you should enter your full name or the name of the person that is selling the ice (in case you're posting it for someone else).
    • Email - optional.  Enter your email address.
    • Phone - Enter the phone number you can be reached at.
    • Date / Time - enter the date and start time of the ice time.
    • Arena - select the arena from the drop down list.  If your arena isn't listed, send a request to have that arena added to the IXS system using the Contact Us link in the horizontal navigation bar.
    • Full or Half Ice - many associations have half ice practices where two teams share the ice.  Select Half Ice if this applies to you.  If you are selling the full ice, select Full Ice.
    • Sharing the ice with - if you are selling the Full Ice, select "No One".  If you are selling Half Ice, indicate the division of the team you are sharing the ice with.  This is important since shared ice practices should be done with teams of the same division or one division higher/lower.  For example, Novice-Atom, Atom-Peewee.   We want to avoid Midget teams sharing ice with Novice teams for safety reasons.
    • Duration - 99% of the time, you will select 1 hour.  However, some rinks do sell ice in 1.5 hour and 2 hour chunks.  These are great for exhibition games.  Select the duration of your ice you're selling/trading.
    • Sale / Trade - Indicate if you're looking to SELL only, TRADE only or SELL/TRADE. This setting will determine whether your ice will appear in the ICE FOR SALE listings, ICE FOR TRADE listings or in both listings.
    • Cost - please enter the price you are selling the ice for.
    • Comments - optional.  If you have any additional comments or notes to add, enter them here.  These will be visible to the public.
  • Once this is done, click the SUBMIT button and your ice posting will appear on the website.

EDITING / DELETING YOUR ICE FOR SALE / TRADE

  • log into the website using your username and password.  If you do not have an account, you must set one up.
  • click "Edit/Delete My Ice"
  • you will then see your ice postings.
  • find the ice posting you want to update in the listing.
  • click on the EDIT or DELETE button for the item you wish to change.

EDITS - You can now make changes to the ice posting.  Once you are done with the changes, click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page.

DELETES - If you want to delete that ice posting since its been sold, click the DELETE and then click DELETE button again on the next page.  Although the screen will show "Delete Joe Smith",  it will only delete the ice posting.  You cannot delete yourself or your account.

CALENDAR

This is handy to have. It does not show the ice postings, maybe in the future it might.

LEAGUE SCHEDULES

Again, a nice handy thing to have on the site.  You can click through to find out when your games are scheduled.
